PHOENIX ZOO TO HOST UNIQUE TRAVELING EXHIBIT

WHAT: The Phoenix Zoo will host "Beyond Our Borders, " a traveling exhibit created by Heifer International.  Heifer International is an organization committed to ending poverty and hunger in developing countries through environmentally sound farming and livestock gifts. 

 The exhibit features replica dwellings of village life in Uganda, Thailand and Ecuador.  Each dwelling illustrates how a particular animal helps alleviate hunger and poverty, and how communities can work together to address global issues.

WHEN: March 1 through March 27, 2006. The exhibit is free with Zoo admission and open daily during regular Zoo hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE: Beyond Our Borders can be found at Harmony Farm in the Phoenix Zoo.
