PHOENIX ZOO COOL SUMMER HOURS...
WHAT: The summer season of 2006 has arrived at the Phoenix Zoo which means cool
summer daytime hours.
WHEN: Summer season hours are hosted beginning June 1--and this year the Zoo has
extended our season through September 30, 2006. Weekday hours are 7 a.m. to 2
p.m. and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
HOW MUCH:
Summer daytime admission is $14/adult, $9/senior and $6 for kids. The Zoo is
offering a special summer discount of one FREE child admission with each regular
adult admission all summer long!
...AND STARRY SAFARI FRIDAY NIGHTS
WHAT:
These special evenings will feature a variety of activities including water
play, up close animal encounters, and popular Zoo rides at discounted prices
including the Safari Train and the Endangered Species Carousel. Visitors can
also rent bikes and pedal boats until dusk and see the Zoo in a whole new way.
(Fees apply).
Because some of the Zoo’s animals will be resting in the evenings, not all Zoo
trails will be open—but favorites will be waiting for visitors including Monkey
Village. The Arizona Trail and the Zoo’s ‘main loop’ surrounding the main lake
will be accessible. Special guests from the Maricopa Counties libraries will be
on hand with storytelling and puppet shows for the kids.
WHEN: Starry Safari Friday nights will be hosted each Friday night in June and
July as well as August 4, 2006, from 6-9 p.m. nightly. (The Zoo will close after
daytime hours and re-open for Starry Safari nights.)
HOW MUCH:
Starry Safari admission is only $3 per person for all ages ($2 for Zoo members)!
