SPRING EVENTS AT THE
The Phoenix Zoo has a full and exciting calendar of events planned for the whole family this Spring season!
- March 6, 2007: Mary Pope Osborn Book Signing-the Phoenix Zoo will host the author of the popular children's book series, the Magic Tree House, for a presentation and book signing. 4-6:30 p.m. $6 for non Zoo members. (To have books signed, they must be purchased at Changing Hands Book Store or through the Zoo.)
March 17, 2007: Dr. ZooLittle- Join the Phoenix Zoo and Radio Disney as they host a children's fair at the Phoenix Zoo. Activities will include a scavenger hunt, give-a-ways and live entertainment. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free with regular Zoo admission. - Now through April 18: Final Days of
Stingray Bay- See and touch our amazing stingrays before the leave the Phoenix Zoo for the season. The rays will return again next fall. Open daily; fees apply. April 21, 2007: Run for the Cheetah- This 5KRun/Walk or 1 mile kids' dash through Papago Park supports the Cheetah Conservation Fund. Sponsor booths, activities, entertainment and Zoo admission are included in the race fees. Call 480-755-0463 or visit runforthecheetah.org for more details. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. the day of the race.
April 22, 2007: Earth Day celebration- Join us for a celebration of Earth! Activities include games and special guests from the community to help celebrate. The event is hosted in conjunction with the American Zoo and Aquarium Association's Party for the Planet, which is being celebrated at zoos nationwide. Find out more at aza.org. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free with regular Zoo admission. April 29, 2007: Dia del Nino- the Hispanic holiday has become a popular event celebrated at the Phoenix Zoo. The event honors the essence of childhood—playfulness and a carefree outlook on life. Activities will include Latin-flavored music, folkloric dancers, games and piñatas, and more. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free with regular Zoo admission. April 27, 2007: ZooBrew- ZooBrew will once again rock the Phoenix Zoo after dark! Event activities include beer and liquor sampling, appetizer tasting, games, silent auction and of course, live music. Popular 80s bands The Fixx and The English Beat (also known as General Public) have been confirmed for the event. 7-11 p.m. Tickets are $65 per person for general admission, $110 for V.I.P tickets. This is an age 21 and over event.
