Your donation helps the Zoo to continue our mission to “provide experiences that inspire people and motivate them to care for the natural world.” Generous donations, whether it is a one-time or annual contribution, help the Zoo serve more than 1.4 million people each year, provide educational programs, continue conservation initiatives and care for more than 1,400 animals, including endangered and threatened species.
This comprehensive endeavor will provide funding to create more engaging and immersive exhibits, greatly enhancing the Zoo’s capacity to serve, educate and inspire our guests through new world class experiences.
For more information on how to support the Capital Campaign please contact the Development Department at 602.914.4362 or email@example.com.
For several species of animals and plants, survival is an increasing challenge. At the Zoo, we work to provide help wherever we can. Your donation allows us to grow and participate in numerous local, regional and international efforts on behalf of endangered species.
Show how the Zoo has touched a life by giving a gift in honor or memory of a loved one. It was the experience of a life time for many of our kids.
Phoenix Zoo has made an impact on millions of lives through its programs, school and family activities, annual events, and outreach programs that travel across Arizona. Creating an environment that encourages exploration and wonder in its youngest guests, the Zoo hosts more than 125,000 school students annually, making it the largest informal science-based learning organization in the state.
A child’s field trip experience features hands-on educational opportunities combined with active learning, while our formal science-based programs are developmentally appropriate and aligned with state education standards in order to complement and enhance the school curricula.
Unfortunately, for many in our community, a visit to the Zoo is a financial impossibility. To fulfill this need, we created ZooReach in 1992, which provides scholarship opportunities to underserved children in across Arizona.
ZooReach scholarships are made available to designated Title 1 K-12 schools that have 50 percent or more of their enrollment on a free or reduced lunch program.
Statewide eligible scholarship recipients are served by the Zoo in a variety of ways, including field trips to the Zoo, educational programs held at the Zoo, programs conducted in school classrooms and animal encounters scheduled during school visits.
Your gift helps create experiences that cultivate a respectful, healthy relationship with nature and animals.
I just want to say thank you to the Phoenix Zoo for the scholarship to Night Camp. Our students cannot talk of anything else but the great time they had at the Zoo.
• A donation could send a child to ZooReach Night Camp
• $272 could grant 30 students a field trip to the Zoo
The demand for ZooReach scholarships is exceeding the amount available this season. We need your help to develop a greater awareness in children to act in ways that protect our natural world. Additional funding will support educational programs for under-served children. Please consider a gift for ZooReach scholarships to support the many classroom and camp participants that would like to attend this spring and summer.
The AmazonSmile program, through Amazon.com, donates 0.5 percent of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the Phoenix Zoo.
