UPCOMING EVENTS FOR OUR GUARDIAN AND ANTLER MEMBERS

KIDS DAY!
When: Thursday, March 5, 2009 and Saturday, March 7, 2009 9 - 10 a.m. (the walking tour will commence at 10 a.m.)
Where: Enchanted Hideaway, next to the Enchanted Forest

You asked for a way to get to know other Guardians and we answered...with Kids Day! So bring your kids and join us for a friendly gathering of Guardian parents. The Experiences staff have designed some special activities for your children to enjoy while you meet and socialize with other active Guardian members in a casual environment. Then, spend some time exploring the Zoo with your new friends, as one of our experienced trail keepers takes the group - kids and all - on a guided walking tour.

Please RSVP by Friday, February 27, 2009 for either date, and feel free to bring a friend along to join the fun.

It’s Off To The Races
Join Guardian members and Zoo friends Jack and Alisha Frost at the Southwest Championship Cup Motorcycle Races at Firebird Raceway on Saturday April 19, 2009 for Phoenix Zoo Day. Guardian members receive free tickets for the race and also a free lunch when they check in at the Phoenix Zoo booth on race day. Call the Development Staff to secure your tickets. New Directions Conservation Science
Wednesday April 29, 2009 9 - 11 a.m.
Arthur L. and Elaine V. Johnson Conservation Center
Come learn more about the Phoenix Zoo’s efforts to ensure the survival of species. Plan to join our Director of Conservation, Stuart Wells, as he hosts you on an informational tour of the Conservation Center. Stuart will discuss the Zoo’s current and future initiatives in conservation science.

Evening at the Arthur L. and Elaine V. Johnson Conservation Center
Thursday May 7, 2009 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Join CEO Bert Castro for a behind-the-scenes look of our conservation center, meet a black-footed ferret, find out more about some of the Zoo’s important programs and then enjoy the evening overlooking Monkey Village as we celebrate the Zoo’s designation as conservation organization of the year.
