AT THE ZOO


 

The Phoenix Zoo provides several days worth of entertainment. To help plan your day and make it easier we have included a schedule of Zoo happenings.  Click here to download printable schedule and Zoo map.
 

8 a.m.   Zoo opens to members only
 
9 a.m.   Zoo opens to the public
 
9:05 a.m.   Fuel up with coffee (in a reusable mug) at Carousel Café and fill up your water bottle. Drinking fountains are located along all of our trails.
 
9:15 a.m.   Visit the Arizona Trail for a look at Arizona native species.
 
10:00 a.m.   Get eye to eye and neck to neck with one of the world’s most unique animals – giraffes. You might even get a chance to feed them.
 
10:30 a.m.   Sit, laugh and learn during our “Training 101 Sit Stay Have Fun” a fun and educational way to learn about different animals species and their habitats.
 
11:30 a.m.   Hop on the Safari Train (times are approximate) for a tour of the Zoo or walk along our Blue Cross Blue Shield Wild Walk with activities for a great morning workout.
 
12:30 p.m.   Enjoy lunch at one of our WILD dining locations.
 
1:30 p.m.   Monkey Around at Monkey Village.
 
2:30 p.m.   Visit Petting Zoo at Harmony Farm.
 
4:00 p.m.   Zoo closes (everyday)
