Teens
Transform your passion into action
Through our innovative programs, workshops and volunteer opportunities, we aim to inspire the next generation of conservationists and change-makers. Join us on a transformative journey where knowledge meets action, and where teens can become true ambassadors for wildlife and environmental stewardship.
Teen Career Conference:
Learn how to translate your passion for animals and wildlife into a career by attending the Phoenix Zoo’s Teen Career Conference on Saturday, February 8, 2025! During this all-day event, you will hear from inspiring Zoo staff and other professionals in wildlife-related careers and have an opportunity to network with organizations, colleges and other resources in our interactive Exhibit Hall. Participants will also participate in a custom guided tour with our professional Zoo educators. Don’t miss this chance to connect, learn and take the next step toward your dream career!
Trailblazers Youth Advisory Council:
The Trailblazers Youth Advisory Council gives young leaders the unique opportunity to actively shape engagement and conservation initiatives that resonate with youth interests. Trailblazers also engage in conservation service-projects in their communities while building professional and career skills that will help put them on the path to becoming the next generation of conservation stewards and advocates.
ZooTeens Volunteering:
ZooTeens are high school students who volunteer at the Phoenix Zoo on the weekends. This is an exciting program where teens can enhance their understanding of animals, conservation and the environment while developing valuable professional and life skills! ZooTeen volunteers will focus on engaging and educating guests in a variety of fun and interactive ways and will gain access to special monthly opportunities to broaden their knowledge and exposure to careers in the fields of animal and conservation sciences.
